CAN I GET IBITS ON OPEN ACCESS FIBRE?
FNO’s operate open access fibre networks, you can check for coverage by clicking on the SIGN UP link.
HOW MUCH DOES INSTALLATION COST?
Normally there is no installation cost, but this can differ between FNO’s. There is no installation cost on IBITS’s own fibre network.
IS THIS SERVICE FASTER THAN ADSL?
Yes, our service is a lot faster than ADSL – Guaranteed. Our service can also be symmetrical – allowing you to host services. ADSL does not give you the upload speeds. Our fibre internet also has much lower latencies making gaming and streaming ideal on our network.
WHAT DOES CONTENTION RATIO MEAN?
Contention ratio is how many users are shared on the same line. Many providers oversell their bandwidth to make higher profits. For example ADSL is at a 30:1 ratio and often fibre is at 10:1. We do not oversell our services, while there is no contentio on IBITS’s own fibre network, the open access network could apply contention on the subscriber line
I REQUIRE A STATIC IP ADDRESS, CAN IBITS PROVIDE THAT?
Yes, as a Tier 1 ISP we operate our our ASN and IP Blocks. All our connections comes with static IP addresses.
I NEED A GOOD CONNECTION FOR VOIP, WILL FIBRE WORK?
Our network is designed for low latencies making it perfect for VOIP services.
